Special FREE Solana Beach Smart Cycling class made possible by a Solana Beach Community Grant to BikeWalkSolana. Sign up for both Session I and Session II, May 7 and May 11, at https://sdbikecoalition.org/smart-cycling/. Your $50 fees will be refunded after completing the Road Session II. You'll also get a free lunch and taillight at the Sat May 11th session, courtesy of our grant. This special offer is now available to all who read this as the sessions have not been filled by Solana Beach residents. I know many who read this consider themselves experienced cyclists and have nothing to learn, like me ~15 years ago when Pete Penseyres cajoled me into taking then Traffic Skills 101 after I made a bonehead move. After North County Cycle Club ride leader and vice president Robert Abraham graduated as a Smart Cyclist he sent a note to all NCCC members, "If you think you don't need this class, then you NEED this class!" So sign up now and you'll learn best practices for traversing Lomas Santa Fe / I-5 (4 ways!), the Cardiff South Beach cycle track, the roundabout past the Del Mar fairgrounds, and more.

Note that our BikeWalkSolana group originally set up the full refunds for Solana Beach residents only because the sessions are made possibly by a Solana Beach Community Grant. We still have lots of room to fill both session with just a few days to go, so we decided to extend the full refund to everyone. There is something for every level of experience here.
