Hit and run in Solana Beach

A cyclist was seriously injured early Saturday morning (after 5am) when he was hit on southbound coast highway going into Solana Beach.  According to channel 8, paint chips found at the scene indicate a grey or silver vehicle.  My husband rode by several hours after the incident, and saw the crushed bike.  He thinks there must be some major front end damage to the vehicle.  I wish that the "Amber alert" system would also broadcast descriptions of damaged vehicles wanted for hit and run.
