Race Across America will be from June 12 to 16. RAAM is looking for a few good riders to escort the racers from the Oceanside pier to College and beyond. Beyond is up Sleeping Indian, down to Bonsall and out Camino Del Rey. You will be expected to carry CO2 or a really good pump, a boot, spare tube and tools needed to change a flat if the racer needs to. It's illegal for the racers to draft so you are guaranteed a fast pull once you leave the river trail. On the trail you are to keep the racers at about a 15mph pace. The team support vehicles will pick up the racers from I-15 on. NCCC could regroup there then, like a pack of wolves led by the Sasquatch, chase the racers up Old Castle.
