Bike rodeos

The Oceanside Bicyle & Pedestrian Committee is holding three more bike rodeos this year. October 29th this coming Saturday, November 19th and December 10th. This is your opportunity to help teach the next generation of cyclists safe riding techniques.
I know it means giving up a Saturday ride but hey when you think about the benefits your assistance makes to the families your instruct it is worth the sacrifice many times over. We average over 75 signed in children at our rodeos, they bring parents and family friends along with them. Your 3 hour instruction shift reaches over one hundred beginner cyclists!
Next Saturday is at Oceanside's Laurel Elementary from 9 to noon. From I-5 take the Mission Avenue offramp east, turn north (left) on San Diego Street and the school is at the very end (only a few blocks) where San Diego Street intersects with Laurel Street.
